USTA Coaching wanted to provide a scalable and engaging way for coaches to develop their skills, from grassroots volunteers to seasoned professionals. To do this, they needed a large catalogue of digital modules that would form the backbone of a new coaching pathway. These modules had to reflect USTA Coaching’s brand identity and coaching philosophy, while being accessible anywhere and meaningful for a diverse coaching community.

Working with USTA’s coach education team and subject matter experts, we designed and built over 100 digital modules to support this new coaching pathway. The modules cover a wide range of tennis coaching-related topics, from day-to-day coaching on court to running successful events and starting and managing a coaching business. We also developed scripts for short video scenarios that let coaches explore realistic situations, reflect on possible choices and practice applying their knowledge in a safe environment. 

These digital modules form the foundation of the coach pathway and are combined with USTA Coaching-led face-to-face sessions to create a blended experience. This approach ensures coaches not only build knowledge online but also apply it in live, practical environments.

USTA Coaching now has a scalable library of digital modules ready to launch. These resources provide a consistent and accessible learning journey, supporting coaches at all levels and ensuring USTA Coaching’s values of inclusivity, positivity and growth are embedded in the experience. All modules are fully mobile-ready, so coaches can access them on any device, wherever they are. By blending digital learning with live workshops, USTA Coaching can deliver a pathway that is accessible, practical and impactful across the USA.
